NATIVE PERENNIAL WILDFLOWER growing to 1.2 m (4ft) by 0.8 m (2ft 7in). Prefers wet or moisture-retentive soil. Hardy to zone 3. It is in flower from July to September. A beautiful tall plant with soft, hairy leaves and large pink flowers. Well known for its root which is used to make traditional ‘marshmallows’, and medicinally for digestive and skin problems.
