Hardy to zone 7. It is in flower from July to September. Commonly grown as a dwarf hedge around herb gardens, it responds well to trimming in the spring. The Leaves and young shoot tips can be eaten raw or as a flavouring in soups, salads with a strongly aromatic flavour, a cross between sage and mint. The plant should not be used by pregnant women. The flowers are pollinated by Bees. Attracts wildlife.
