NATIVE PERENNIAL WILDFLOWER growing to 0.3 m (1ft) by 0.5 m (1ft 8in). Prefers grassland/soil with low Nitrogen levels. Hardy to zone 5. It is in flower from June to September. Used medicinally the flowers are antispasmodic, cardiotonic and sedative and externally as a local anti-inflammatory compress in cases of skin inflammation. An orange dye is obtained from the flowers. The flowers are pollinated by Bees. Produces POLLEN & NECTAR. It can fix Nitrogen in the soil. It is noted for attracting wildlife. Not edible due to its hydrogen cyanide content. SEEDS 1g/£1.55
