NATIVE PERENNIAL growing to 1 m (3ft 3in) by 0.6 m (2ft). It is hardy to zone 3. It is in flower from July to November. Abundant small blue flowers are carried on long spikes which are loved by all kinds of bees. Apart from being loved by cats, this herb has a long history of use with its mint-like flavouring (the young leaves) in salads, and as a household herbal remedy, its gentle action making it suitable for treating colds, flu and fevers in children. The plant can be tidied in Autumn by cutting down to ground level. The flowers are pollinated by Bees. Produces POLLEN & NECTAR. It is noted for attracting wildlife. SEEDS packet 0.5g/£1.55
