NATIVE PERENNIAL WILDFLOWER growing to 0.2 m (0ft 8in) by 0.3 m (1ft). Prefers moist, neutral to calcareous soils and thrives in a wide range of grasslands including lawns. It is hardy to zone 3. It is in flower from July to September. As with other members of the dead-nettle family, this plant is particularly attractive to bees. Leaves can be used raw or cooked in salad, soup or stew (after washing off the tannin if desired). It has a long history of use as antibacterial, antiseptic, antispasmodic and more. Produces POLLEN & NECTAR. The flowers are pollinated by Bees. SEEDS 10g/£4.05. (Can be sown any time of the year, even direct into lawns - ideally after the lawn has been scarified).
