It is in flower May to October. A major source of pollen and nectar for Honeybees and Bumblebees.This is one of our most familiar and beautifully fragrant culinary herbs whose leaves give off their heady-sweet aroma when rubbed, especially good on hot days, and blue flowers appear on previous season’s growth. *Another one of those plants for bees which flowers during the ‘June-gap’ dearth.
