It is in flower from May to September. This is a major nectar source for Honeybees and an important nectar and pollen source for a number of species of Bumblebees. Red clover is a safe and effective herb with a long history of medicinal usage, commonly used to treat skin conditions, and a folk remedy for cancer of the breast.
